Last year I felt inspired to compile and publish stories from women and men who have lived at the Serenity House in Auburn, Indiana. I reached out to alumni who have felt blessed by their residency at Serenity House and received seven stories (including my own) which I have now compiled into the book titled, "Stories of Serenity: Tales From Residents Who Found Peace." The stories include parts of each contributor's life, and mainly focus on their experience before, during, and after their residency. The main inspiration behind the book was to be able to share our experiences, strengths, and hopes with current residents in an effort to show them that they are not alone, that others have been exactly where they are. The book is only $4 on Amazon (as low as I could get it) and you can definitely purchase one if you have an interest in reading these stories. BUT, what I would really invite you to do is purchase a book or two and have it sent directly to the men's Serenity House from Amazon. I would love to have every resident who may be feeling a little lost find a little hope in one of these stories. Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for caring!!
